Voluntary business recovery contribution

A shop lost in Gaza. A new beginning in London.

I ran a women's clothing shop for years. It is gone, along with the stock and fixtures I built up. I am starting again in Ealing — and I would rather do it in the open, step by step.

In Hazem's words

Hazem's story

Three short chapters, written in the first person and kept to what can be stated plainly.

01

The shop I had

It was an independent women's clothing shop in Gaza — everyday pieces and occasion wear. I chose the stock myself, paid for the fixtures over time, and built the customer base through word of mouth and social media. It was a small business, run properly, and it supported my family.

02

What was lost

The shop and its essential business assets were lost during the conflict. There is no continuing trade, no salvaged stock and no lease to transfer. I will not describe more than that here. What remains is the trade itself: retail experience, supplier knowledge, and a plan I can put in writing.

03

Starting again in Ealing

I am now working to open a new women's fashion shop in Ealing, London, serving customers in the UK. It will be operated by my company DIVAFASHION LTD, registered in England & Wales (company no. 16932732), subject to the same licensing, insurance and tax obligations as any other UK small retailer.

A shop is stock, fixtures and a lease — but it is also years of relationships with customers and suppliers.

What I'm building

A small, independently run women's fashion shop in Ealing, opened in documented stages so that anyone can see where the project actually is.

Staged funding plan

The project is delivered in three documented stages. Each stage is reported in Updates before the next begins.

  1. Stage 1 — Validation & formal setup

    • Complete company registrations and HMRC filings for DIVAFASHION LTD
    • Confirm local business and licence requirements
    • Obtain premises and supplier quotations
    • Complete payment-provider checks
    • Confirm the final operating budget
  2. Stage 2 — Minimum viable launch

    • Secure premises or a lower-cost alternative
    • Purchase essential fixtures and initial inventory
    • Establish the minimum operational setup
  3. Stage 3 — Full launch & stabilisation

    • Expand inventory
    • Complete branding and merchandising
    • Fund initial working capital and marketing
  4. 120-day campaign review

    Campaign launch date: 31 July 2026 · Review date: 28 November 2026

On the review date one documented decision is published: continue unchanged, extend with an explanation, proceed with a reduced plan, pause for verification, or begin a refund review if the project is not viable. This is a review milestone, not a deadline — no contribution expires.
